How can I help? No longer is it just the teacher, the social worker, or the parent of a failing child who cares about the failing system. We all care. By supporting WITS with a donation, you as an individual have the power to make a difference in the life of a child. For example:
With a $10,000 donation, you can impact 800 students by supporting a semester of one-on-one tutoring and mentoring.
With a $5,000 donation, you can impact 45 students and two teachers by providing a trained volunteer in the classroom.
With a $2,500 donation, you can enable 10 pre-k and kindergarten children to read one-on-one with their volunteer for 25 sessions.
With a $1,000 donation, you can provide 3 students with 20 Saturday Tutoring sessions, which effectively extends their school day by having out-of-school time instruction.
With a $500 donation, you can allow 1 child to travel weekly to a downtown corporation to meet with their Workplace Mentor throughout the school year.
And if 30 people give just $10 per month for a year, all the children in our programs can take home new books to build their personal libraries!
